Shaker card!

We had fun during the holidays making a shaker card so I thought I would try one for spring!

For this card I used the following materials:

Stamp Pads: Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon
Washi Tape (no longer available but others you could use the In Color Washi Tape #140582)
Timeless Textures Stamp Set #140517
Perfect Pairings Stamp Set from Sale-A-Bration catalog
A square of Cucumber Crush from the Designer Paper Pack #138439
Window Sheet #142314
Butterflies Thinlits Die #137360
The card base is using Whisper White paper/
The shaker innards are leftovers from the holidays but are basically glitter and stars.
The main ingredient in this card are 3D foam strips.  Stampin' Up doesn't sell them but they are available in any craft store and Amazon.  Just do a search for Foam Tape.

Here is a link to to the time lapse video.  Let me know what you think!

Gotcha!

Gotcha!  Not the best photo however if I would have moved she would have flown away!  Anyway this is the pretty lady that inspired the card!

Cardinal and making use...

Typically I don't purchase many holiday stamp sets. However being a demonstrator this year I did. Being the frugal person that I am, I've been trying to use these sets for other occasions.
I have a special fondness for cardinals. Their bright red color just stands out among the starkness of winter's lack of foliage. Plus moving from Virginia to Tennessee they have significant meaning.
In our TN home we have a couple that frequents our bird feeder. The girl is especially beautiful in her muted browns and orange. She inspired the card below.
I recently refilled the feeder and she is back.  I'm hoping to capture a picture of her but she seems to be a bit more skittish than the other birds.

Another old and new mix!

Another card mixing old with new. I mixed the whale from the retired Fox and Friends set with new elements. I like this striped scallop die for the big shot. A little tricky to work with but worth it (I think).

Time to play!

I love working old and new together. I do it in my home decor and now in my card making!  A little something from Fox and Friends retired set along with the Hardwood background stamp and Perfect Pairings sentiments.
